This week in our Nindies Wednesdays update, we find several things that we definitely want to keep an eye on in the coming days, weeks, and months.
Also, we will take a look at what Nintendo has in store for PAX Prime this weekend. Last week we found out that Nintendo would be hosting a Nindies@Night event in Seattle this Thursday, the night before the event begins.
As Runbow is quickly approaching release, we’ve gotten more Bowhemoth footage and developer details. Take a look at that video below:
There was also a new Soul Axiom story trailer recently released. That can be seen here:
Also, the creator of the Gunman Clive series has shared that the Gunman Clive HD Collection is scheduled to come to the Wii U on September 3.
In addition to the Nindies@Night event that Nintendo will be hosting, they will also have a pretty big presence at PAX Prime for the entire weekend. They recently shared the lineup of games that will be shown and playable at their booth and around, for attendees to enjoy.
At the adjacent Sheraton Seattle Hotel, Nintendo will host a dedicated Nindies lounge showcasing 13 independent games made for Wii U and Nintendo 3DS. Visitors can play the games and talk to the developers themselves. Indie games that will be playable include:
Action Henk (Curve Digital)
FAST Racing Neo (Shin’en)
Freedom Planet (Galaxy Trail)
Hive Jump (Graphite Lab)
Oddworld: New ‘n’ Tasty (Oddworld Inhabitants, Inc. / Just Add Water (Developments) Ltd. / Nephilim Games)
Runbow (13AM Games)
Shantae Half-Genie Hero (WayForward)
Typoman (Headup Games / Brainseed Factory)
Year Walk (Simogo / Dakko Dakko)
Mutant Mudds Super Challenge (Renegade Kid)
SteamWorld Heist (Image & Form)
The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (Nicalis, Inc.)
Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows (Yacht Club Games)
There is a lot to look forward to on the Nindie scene, and that is a great thing. For Wii U owners especially, we have had a lack of support from major 3rd Party developers/publishers and it’s good to have these great games coming to our systems to fill that void, and well!
I hope you are looking forward to playing, at least, some of these games when they release.
As always, gaming is meant to be fun, so keep gaming!!
