Prior to the official start of PAX Prime last week, Nintendo of America started off with the Nindies@Night event, and it was amazing. There was a great group of attendees, and they were treated to some fantastic reveals and surprises.
During the Nindies@Night event there was an Indie Developer presentation where Damon Baker interviewed 4 different devs who also had the opportunity to showcase their games. Fast Racing Neo, Hive Jump, Kerbal Space Program, and Shovel Knight: Plague of Shadows (add-on content) were all given time on the big stage.
It really is fantastic to see all of the attention that Nintendo is giving to their Nindie partners, and it looks like that is a trend that will only continue to grow. If you have not seen the presentation from Thursday evening, take out a few minutes to watch it below.
So, how excited are you about these upcoming Nindie titles? Do you think the way Nintendo is embracing Indie Devs is the right direction for the company? For the industry? I believe the amount of attention Nintendo is paying to these studios is not only earned, but very important!
As always, gaming is meant to be fun, so keep gaming!!
