Yesterday evening, there was a Japanese broadcast of Super Smash Bros. for Wii U on the Nico Nico Network on which several bits of information were officially revealed. We got a release date for the final two Smash DLC characters, Bayonetta and Corrin.
During that broadcast, we also learned that there will be the addition of more Mii Fighter costumes made available for purchase, and they will be available on February 3, as well.
This final wave of DLC content for Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS marks yet another key piece of the generation coming full-circle. It is interesting to watch as these games that have defined the generation for mostly the Wii U, but also for the Nintendo 3DS, are seeing their final pieces of extended attention from Nintendo now, and we know that it’s basically because the new system(s) is/are on the horizon, so attention has already begun to turn in that direction for most of the development teams in the Entertainment Planning & Development Division (EPD) and beyond. I am excited to see all that is about to happen, but first it will be great to see these two new characters in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U/3DS very soon.
As always, gaming is meant to be fun, so keep gaming!!
