Late on Friday evening, Nintendo of America released a couple fantastic bits of information for the upcoming sequel to their new hit IP, Splatoon. Splatoon was released on Nintendo’s waning home console, the Wii U, roughly two years ago, and Splatoon 2 will soon be releasing on the Nintendo Switch slated for the Summer of 2017.
Taking to Twitter, the company’s North American arm decided to share some incredible news regarding the game. We learn about the spectator mode that was briefly mentioned during the Treehouse Live event which followed the Nintendo Switch Presentation in January. We also find out a little more of local multiplayer features for the game (and likely more generally, the Nintendo Switch, as well).
Both of these tweets are very forward-thinking in their depth regarding Nintendo’s new dedicated home gaming device. The company has created a very detailed piece of hardware that has many unique aspects, and that same attribute flows smoothly into the software, as evidenced by the simple, yet powerful details that we see above.
Which of these two new details do you like most? Are you happy finding out about them? Do you expect to utilize either/both of these new features?
As always, gaming is meant to be fun, so keep gaming!!
