Are You Prepared For the Global Testfire?

As Nintendo prepares to launch their new iteration in the Splatoon franchise on the Nintendo Switch, they have begun to make sure players will have a good comfort level with some of the new weapons along with a couple of the new stages. The Global Testfire event kicks off in just a couple of hours, and if you are going to be participating, you want to make sure you are well prepared and ready to jump in right away.

To help you do that, below are some informative resources for you to familiarize yourself with the weapons that will be available to you during the event, as well as the controls.

Splatoon 2 looks like it is going to be a phenomenal successor to the original, and with the amount of hours that I still put into that game, I cannot wait to start pouring even more time into Splatoon 2 when it is released. Nintendo is starting to create another amazing environment in the gaming community, and for those of us who count themselves as fans of the company, we are poised to enjoy every minute of it. For those who do not, they are certainly welcome, but it may be most advantageous to do so sooner rather than later.

Nintendo Begins Promoting For ARMS

Nintendo has begun to promote their new IP and potentially next big hit game, ARMS. This new game is slated for a Spring release, and it appears that release is coming very quickly. Today is the start of Vernal Equinox (Spring) and so what better time to begin the campaign to promote this game than today!

From the very first time I saw ARMS, I was very excited about its potential and impending release on the Nintendo Switch. With a unique array of characters, various weapon sets, and dynamic game play, this game could be as intensive as many other multiplayer experiences from Nintendo.

Since this is a new Intellectual Property from the company, it’s imperative for them to ensure players become familiarized with the characters because each one has their own uniqueness. For the past 30+ years Nintendo has created a lasting video game culture that has centered around iconic characters, and ARMS is going to be no exception as we begin getting to know some of the characters that will populate the game.

Much like the start of the immense hit, Splatoon, Nintendo is making it possible to embrace just a little of the game’s charm, initially. These first five characters are the same ones that we knew about following the reveal of the game. Now, we are finding out a little more in-depth information on them. What’s more is one of the “concerns” I heard following the game’s initial reveal was the idea that the number of playable characters may be too small. It was always pretty evident that there would be more characters than these initial five, but apparently not for everyone. Now, there is no doubt following the confirmation from Nintendo via Twitter.

Get an in-depth look at some of the characters coming to #ARMS, as well as their unique moves!

What was your initial impression of ARMS? Are you excited about the game, yet? Do you plan on picking up the game when it is released? Which is your favorite character, so far?

Happy 1 Year Anniversary Splatoon!

Nintendo is commemorating the first anniversary of the phenomenal new IP Splatoon. A year ago, Nintendo released a brand new IP mere months after its reveal at E3 2014, and showed the gaming community that they indeed still have it!

Since its release last year, Nintendo has continually updated the content available in the game, and provided players with an overwhelming amount of additional maps, weapons, and gear. To mark the 1 year anniversary of the game’s launch, Nintendo is providing an all-new set of weapon combinations.

So, come June 7, look forward to finding new ways to play again. Splatoon is going down as one of the most innovative new gaming experiences, of all-time.

Are you looking forward to getting your hands on the new weapon sets when they become available? Have you still been playing Splatoon? How excited are you for the new weapons?

They Pull You Back In…

Nintendo has announced an all-new Splatoon update and the arrival of several new weapons. It has been quite some time since the “final” updates, weapons, maps and gear arrived in Splatoon, but shortly after their release, the game’s developers and producers hinted at the possibility of more additional content.

When Splatoon was released nearly one year ago, the promise of added content was merely a collection of words, but beyond that, many vocal fans felt that the company would not be able to deliver well enough on that promise to justify the game’s release at the time. Nintendo did, however, deliver tremendously on that promise, even to the point of some admitting that they never expected this much content for the game. Now, the developers are bringing even more to the table.

Several of the weapons that will become available on the 12th have been highlighted, so here are a few of their details.

These new weapons are sure to once again bring many players back to the splatting fields of Splatoon to test their skills. It will be interesting to see how well these new weapons will be received by players, old and new, alike.

Do you plan on testing the new weapons when they become available on April 12th? Have you been playing Splatoon lately? you excited about the new weapons support coming to the game?

Another New Splatoon Weapon is Incoming…

It is that time of the week again where Nintendo is adding yet another new weapon to the arsenal of players in Splatoon. As usual, this new weapon will be available in-game tonight at 9pm EDT/6pm PDT.

The new weapon is the Zinc Mini Splatling, and I am sure it will be something to check out.

I know that many players may have their attention split tonight when the weapon goes live, but will you be picking up this new weapon to give it a test? Have you been playing much Splatoon since Xenoblade Chronicles X released? Have you tried out FAST Racing Neo, yet?

With so many games on offer for the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS, we have a lot of gaming fun to enjoy throughout this Holiday season, and still more to come shortly. Nintendo fans are in an amazing position, and I wouldn’t trade it. Would you?
